RSJ/Swenson Employer Updates
May 26, 2020
Dear Friends & Clients:
WORKFORCE STRATEGY During A Crisis:Align Interests, Whenever Possible

This article is the 2nd in a series of posts we will share about the support we have provided to our clients as they respond to the challenges presented by the coronavirus.

EMPLOYER UPDATES:

  • Make sure your Injury & Illness Prevention Plan is updated (or created). Cal/OSHA provides a step-by-step way on how to do it (or ask your RSJ/Swenson HR Advisor) Injury and Illness Prevention e-tool

  • FSA's have been made more...flexible. The basics include:
  • Claim and service periods for FSAs may be extended up to 12/31/20
  • Mid-Year changes to FSAs are allowed as well as health plan coverage
  • Increase in the carryover aka carryover amounts
  • As a result, this permits high deductible health plans to cover expenses related to COVID-19, and a temporary exemption for the telehealth services retroactively to 1/1/20
