Happy Spring. It's time for renewal - one of our favorite words at CALM. That's because renewal is a time to start over, make amends, clear the air and be reformed. That is part of our mission when it comes to rebuilding family and business relationships as a means to self determination and peace building.

As a result, CALM is excited to announce two new events for Spring 2014: Our first mediator certificate training of the year, and a movie night fundraiser hosted by our Friends of CALM.

You can register TODAY through March 30 for our very first Movie Night. Come as you are to be entertained and join in a lively discussion about our feature surprise movie. Your $20 suggested donation will cover your entry to a home theatre featuring comfy seats, popcorn, snacks and beverages.

 Our first mediator training of the year takes place on five Saturdays in May starting May 3. The 40-hour training to 'certify' mediators per the Dispute Resolution Programs Act of the California Business and Professions Code will take place from 9 am to 5 pm in Palmdale, CA. Individuals able to make a serious commitment to completing the training and those who are able to pledge another 40 hours (total 80) to interning/volunteering, are encouraged to apply TODAY.
