National Great Outdoors Month is a celebration of the wildlife, parks, and natural beauty of our area.

We encourage people to get out and explore our parks and participate in the various programs planned.

Check out the programs below for family friendly outdoor activities in the Township.
This summer, we will be doing pop-up self-directed activities that allow for family fun while social distancing throughout all the parks in Deerfield Township.

Looking for a fun/creative activity that will get your kids outside? Build a fairy or gnome home to be included in this week's Fairy & Gnome Trails in Deerfield parks!

Deerfield Parks & Recreation will feature Fairy & Gnome homes on trails at seven different parks throughout the Township from June 10th - 14th. Each park will feature a different theme and fairy/gnome homes created by you!

Check out the different park themes for inspiration and sign up at www.DeerfieldRec.com  to participate. Then, take a nature hike to collect natural materials and use your sticks and pebbles to create a miniature home for a fairy, gnome, or other woodland creature. Registered participants will receive an email with additional instructions for placing their miniature creation on the designated trail.
