What to Watch
The impact of the coronavirus on the arts in New Jersey is severe. As the pandemic stretches on, income is being lost by artists and workers of all kinds in the cultural arena.

As we all continue to support our favorite artists and venues in these changing times, we'll be sharing some great stories for you to enjoy from home.
Howard Finster (1916-2001) was a prolific artist with a mission to communicate his visions to the world. This story from 1992 visits Finster’s “Paradise Garden” in Georgia, where he was busy making art, leading tours of the garden, and selling his work to people who had come from near and far.

Before becoming a professional photographer at age 44, Naar was a British Secret Service agent in the Middle East during WWII and an international marketing executive. But in the early 1960s he met photographer André Kertész who encouraged him to follow his youthful passion and become a photographer.

Our story: Jon Naar
Narrated by Paul Sorvino, this 2005 documentary takes a figurative journey along the New Jersey Turnpike to explore the art, music, poetry, theater, film, and even dance this iconic roadway has inspired.
