ISSUE NO. 305 / June 9, 2022
Sunapee Happenings
Today is National Best Friends Day, as so declared by Congress in 1935. ‘tis a day to honor friendships, spend time with our best friends and perhaps reminisce about good times shared. Majority of people consider significant others as their “best friend”... Moms and dogs are a close second. Having a best friend is beneficial to our health as we support each other thru good days and bad.

Ticks and Summer Outings ~

The warmer weather is finally here! The out of doors is calling! Be prepared as you head out to enjoy this beautiful Lake Sunapee area. Everyone's least favorite pest, the tick, is now on the move. But don't let them keep you from exploring and seeing all that the Sunapee region has to offer! Daily tick checks along with a few other preventive measures can keep your exposure to ticks low and under control.

Sunapee Trivia
The Sunapee Highway Department installed 50 flags throughout Sunapee Harbor and Georges Mills. There was a pretty even split of 30% votes for 25, 50 and 75 flags respectively. Many Sunapee organizations are gearing up for the summer season - beautiful gardens by the Sunapee Gardeners, traditional events by Project Sunapee, a plethora of music at the Gazebo, Flander's Stage and The Livery and so much more. How does some of the information get shared? Online, but also the old fashion way... visitor information booths!
