Giving Trees Sponsored by Canton Catholic Youth Ministry
During the Advent Season you will see giving trees in each parish beginning November 28th. Youth Ministry has a long history of working with various shelters in the Boston area including Sojourner House, Nazareth House, St. Ambrose, and Fr Bill’s. As part of our work with these shelters we have been providing donations to these shelters from our Giving Trees for Christmas for over 30 years.

The donations allow the shelters to provide meals and gifts for adults and children living in the shelters at Christmas. In addition, many shelters are providing Christmas for their local communities this year because of the extreme need due to the pandemic. Home goods are supplied by the shelters as a way to support families transitioning into their own homes.

The pandemic has hurt many families and these shelters are working harder than ever to support everyone they can, and they are depending on us more than ever!

Please consider making a donation of a gift card, toys, home goods, or warm clothing.

Suggested Gift Items
Gift Cards: Shaws, Stop and Shop, Walmart, Target
Gloves/mittens all sizes, children toys, gifts for teenagers, kitchen supplies/home goods

Donations can be dropped off at either church or Parish Administrative Office before Christmas.
Virtual Giving Tree Project to Support My Brother’s Keeper
Since 2015, My Brother’s Keeper has served more than 3,000 struggling families and that remains their goal this year despite the pandemic. COVID is requiring them to be flexible and creative. As an example, instead of wrapping gifts at their facilities, they will be delivering unwrapped gifts this year and giving out rolls of wrapping paper and tape.

The pandemic has virtually shut down their warehouse due to the lack of ability to provide social distancing so this year, My Brother's Keeper is offering two creative ways for us to continue to support families for Christmas.

Adopt a Family
Adopt a local family in need and bring the joy of Christmas to their lives.

To help families in need, individuals are are asked to adopt a family of whatever size. My Brother's Keeper will provide first names, ages, sizes & even gift suggestions from that family.
