VSUAA - Northern Virginia Chapter
As the nation celebrated  the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr on January 20, 2020, NOVA Chapter honored his life and legac y by participating in the 30th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Oratorical Competition and Program/College Fair at Hylton Memorial Chapel in Woodbridge, VA. This program was sponsored by the Prince William County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

NOVA Chapter members Vanita Reynolds, Krisna Taylor, Keenan Taylor, Sereda Fowlkes, Tiana Suber, Rodney Thompson, and Brian Elam managed an information table for prospective students and parents, as well as Trojan alumni. VSU was one of only four colleges and universities represented and members provided basic information regarding tuition, campus life, and fields of study and referred those needing more information to the University's website. They also recommended they attend the upcoming HBCU College Fair sponsored by Alfred Street Baptist Church on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center located at Oxon Hill, MD.

Nine VSU alumni stopped by and expressed an interest in becoming members of NOVA Chapter. They were provided membership applications to join on-site and/or were referred to the Chapter's website at  vsuaanova.org to join on line. Alumni were also invited to attend the next Chapter meeting scheduled at 10am on February 1, 2020 located at 2525 Pointe Center, Suite 350, Dumfries, Va.
