Focused Collaborative Meetings
This year, CCAoNH, a program of Southern New Hampshire Services will be offering virtual Early Childhood Focused Collaborative Meetings once more for Directors, Administrators, Teachers, and other Early Childhood Professionals. These Meetings are group-driven to reflect the participant’s needs and interests and to provide participants with information around the focused topics. In addition, participants will learn about Child Care Aware of NH program updates, essential local and State information, and other professional development opportunities.

Family Engagement and Communication

Topic: This month, Joy Gagnon, UNH Cooperative Extension Teacher, Health and Wellbeing, Nutrition Connections will be joining us. Joy will talk about the Nutrition Connections program. The program offers nutrition education to youth, families, adults, and seniors who are considered low income based on national income guidelines. Joy is interested in learning the needs of NH childcare providers and their families.

NAEYC Accreditation

Topic: This month, participants will discuss concepts of knowledge and evidence upkeep in terms of NAEYC Accreditation Status. Bring your ideas on how your program uses members of your team and your systematic approaches to ensuring standards are continuously being met within your program. We will also brainstorm topics that may be helpful for 2022-2023 collaborative planning.

Topic: This month will be our last meeting for the year! We will use our time to discuss and reflect on our journey together as a group and how our knowledge has grown! We will be engaging in some interactive activities as well as open discussion to dive into the topics we covered this year and to explore how we can expand for next year! Please take time before the meeting to brainstorm and prepare any questions, helpful suggestions, and ideas so we can plan for next year!

We will also hear updates from around the state with Dianne Chase, Assistant Chief at the BCDHSC, and from the CCAoNH Team! Topic: This month we will be reflecting on the various topics and ideas that were discussed throughout the year. Please come ready to share your experiences, ask any remaining questions, and brainstorm ideas for next year’s topics.  We will also be doing a Learn & Share focused on "Summer Time Fun."  Please come with projects, experiences, and ideas you are planning for the kiddos this summer, or ones you have done in the past that you would like to share.

Topic: This month, Melony Williams, Mental Health Counselor with TMC Family Resource Center in Claremont, NH, will be presenting on the topic "Beyond the Call: Exploring the Issues Around Making a DCYF Report". Melony will address how to support at-risk families, warning signs and how to make the decision to call DCYF. She also plans to speak about how to support families, staff, and classrooms after the call has been made.

Topic: This month we will be having a discussion on the topics and ideas for the 2022/2023 training year. Please come ready to share your ideas and brainstorm ideas for next year’s topics. We will also be doing a Learn & Share focused on "Engagement, Education and Advocacy Resources for a first-time Advocate". Feel free to bring any of your own resources to share with other Programs.
Registration Information:
  • Registration is free and available through the NHCIS Training Tile.
  • Registration closes the day before the collaborative.
  • To register use the “Week View” or Month View” and then choose which session(s) you would like to join. Please note, registration cannot be completed in the “List View”.
  • On the day of the meeting, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting as well as the evaluation link.  
  • Registration is online only and pre-registration is required.
