Additionally, we would like to hear from you about how your congregation is adapting to these unconventional times. Please continue sending any relevant resources or stories to Nick Cockrell at ncockrell@episcopal-ut.org

Youth Updates
From Youth Director Karen Gleeson

Go Virtual! On Monday, December 14th at 7pm for youth in grades 6-12
This is a great opportunity for all of the youth of the diocese in grades 6-12 to get to know more friends and stay connected with each other! We will participate in some fun games, as well as check in with each other. We will have our youth/camp directors leading these monthly events, along with guest speakers and priests from around the diocese offering a variety of conversation topics and prayer.

New Family Program!
Faith At Home
During these times when gathering in our churches for worship and faith formation has become increasingly difficult, we have heard from many parents who are looking for new ideas for bringing faith formation and spiritual traditions into their homes. The Diocesan faith formation committee is excited to launch a new program starting in 2021. This program will be a way for parents and families to connect, share ideas and strengthen our sense of community as Episcopalian families in Utah. Starting in January we will begin to meet on Zoom to discuss Wendy Claire Barrie's book Faith At Home: A Handbook for Cautiously Christian Parents. Wendy is an amazing author, editor and Christian formation expert who has lots of great ideas for cultivating faith traditions in the home. She will be guiding us through this program, and she will be leading a question and answer session at the conclusion of our book. We will be delivering these books to all the parishes in the Diocese sometime during Advent and we will include an official invitation with even more information about this exciting new program at that time.  Please visit Facebook page: Utah Faith Formation for Families.

The Rev. Anne Campbell
Chaplain at St. Mark's Tower and St. Mark's Millcreek

The Rev. Anne Campbell, Chaplain at St. Mark’s Tower and St. Mark's Millcreek, is seeking donations to support the residents during this holiday season. Anne reports that this has been a difficult year with Covid-19, a 2-day power outage in September, and the cancellation of the annual dinner and sing-along with diocesan staff and the Camp Tuttle contingent of entertainers and guests.

Please make checks to:  The Rev. Anne Campbell and write: Discretionary Fund on the check’s memo line.

St. Luke's Drive-in Christmas Eve Services
Park City, UT
St. Luke's Episcopal Church is putting together an ambitious Christmas Eve program amid this unprecedented pandemic.

With the hope of offering a meaningful spiritual experience while keeping everyone safe from the spread of COVID-19, St. Luke's will offer 4 Christmas Eve services: 5:00, 6:30, 8:00, and 9:30 PM.

Each service will last about a half-hour and will take place outdoors. You will remain in your car (hopefully without the motor running the whole time....please dress warmly). The Rev. Charles Robinson writes: "This is a wonderful project that will say to the Park City community St. Luke’s is still here and very much alive and it should be great fun."

Worship leaders, including Bishop Nicholas of Myra, will be located on a stage in the middle of the parking lot and the service will be broadcast to your car radio. They can accommodate no more than 20 cars at each service so you will have to reserve your spot in advance. Reservations will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please click on the Christmas Eve Registration Button below. Have a blessed and safe Advent Season!
