Eagles in Action
ST JOHN'S FOOD PANTRY ADVENT CALENDAR
Please help the 6th graders with their Eagles in Action project. Beginning on Sunday November 29th, click on the link below and join them in helping provide food for local food pantries. Follow the calendar from days 1-24 and find out how you can help. On each day add an item to the box or bag.  There will be paper bags available in the narthex labeled "St.John's Food Pantry donation" or you are welcome to use your own box or bag. Please drop off in your classroom/narthex by December 22nd. You are welcome to share the link with your friends and family so they can help too. Please contact Rebecca Schiltz at schiltz4@sbcglobal.net or Tom Wykert at t.wykert@stjohnslagrange.org if you have questions.
Thank You! from Mrs. Hackelberg and 1st grade
Thanks to all of our school families we filled more than 60 Operation Christmas Child boxes and along with church members and friends we dropped off about 180 boxes in total. I smile every time I think about the children who will receive those boxes. Praise God!
3rd Grade Eagles in Action Recap for December 2020
Thank you for your ongoing support of the LaGrange Area Food Pantry. We collected donations at our Meals to Go/Pie Pick Up on November 24. 3rd grade uses $77.00 each month from our September chapel offerings to buy our monthly featured item and shop for sales to benefit those in our community in need. In November, we purchased 60 bars of soap, canned coffee, chicken broth, and canned vegetables. In December, we will purchase pump soaps and have already purchased cake mixes, brownie mixes, and cans of cranberry sauce that were on sale. Your generosity is gratefully appreciated! Thank you!

  • shortness of breath
  • new cough
  • sore throat
  • vomiting
  • diarrhea
  • abdominal pain from unknown cause

Your student may return to school after receiving a negative COVID test or receiving an alternative diagnosis from a doctor. Asymptomatic siblings may also return at this time.
If you do not obtain either a negative COVID test or alternative diagnosis, your student, and siblings, must stay home for 10 days from onset of symptoms AND have been symptom free for 24 hours.

Thank you for continuing to be vigilant as we navigate this school year together!

Christmas Coloring Pages from PTO
Hello St. John Families,
The Thanksgiving Turkey fence looked amazing! It was so exciting to see everyone's talents and thankfulness on display over the holiday. To follow up with that, PTO is organizing a similar event for Christmas with a theme of "Happy Birthday Jesus!" See attached for a few options - feel free to do one, all, or anything in between. Enjoy with your family, and please get them back to your classroom teacher by Dec 11, and we'll put them up over Christmas break.
Thank you
