A Unique Graduation

A stream of cars got in line on Friday, July 31 at 12 Noon in the parking lot outside Kretzschmar Stadium for a unique graduation experience. The cars with family and graduates inside entered the stadium and slowly drove to the graduation stand and stopped. The graduates exited the cars and mounted the stand where they were met and awarded their diplomas by Principal Jeff Guzman and congratulated by Vice-Principal Nadi Wissa. The families then proceeded to the north end of the stadium and drove out through the faculty lot.

To top the day off the graduates proceeded to the Torrance Bakery of Gardena to pick up their specially made Graduation Cakes. The Bakery is at 15934 S. Western Ave. Checkout torrancebakery.com (There is another store at 1341 El Prado in Torrance.)
Understand their bear claws are outstanding.
We couldn't have done it without a gracious Alumni donation.

The Angie Kretzschmar Stadium and more.

Fred Rinaldi '66 returned to campus to bring us a couple of El Padre's. Frank recalled his time at Serra and enjoyed a campus tour. Frank had to have his picture taken with the Angie Tribute in the Bob Lynch '61 Library.

The Stadium was blessed and named Angie Kretzschmar Stadium at halftime during homecoming on October 13, 2000.
