Telehealth Learning Center at MU Health Fair
The Southeastern Telehealth Resource Center and Global Partnership for Telehealth's Telehealth Learning Center will be on-site during the MU Health Fair taking place this Tuesday, April 6 from 11 am - 2 pm in Macon. Be sure to stop by and learn about the different modalities and tools used to deliver health care services via information and communication technologies.
New Access to NAVEX Global EthicsPoint Reporting System
Mercer University has partnered with NAVEX Global/EthicsPoint to provide a confidential reporting line that allows the submission of a report of a violation of the Learning Environment and Student Mistreatment Policy. 

Members of the Mercer Community can report an incident by clicking Make a Report on the EthicsPoint page or by dialing toll-free 844-743-1234. The full policy and reporting guidelines are available in the Office of Student Affairs.

Concerns about the educational facilities and resources or about other concerns not related to the Codes of Conduct can be reported to the Suggestion Line
Become a Peer Tutor
Your Academic Success Team would like to invite the classes of 2022 and 2023 to apply to become a peer tutor for the next academic year! Peer tutors support underclassmen learning with study strategies, Shelf guidance and Board review. This is a paid position.

Send the completed application form to your Academic Success Counselor by April 30.

The American Medical Association is inviting guest speaker Reilly Bealer, an AMA Government Relay Advocacy Fellow to talk about the importance of organized medicine and how medical students can get involved in health policymaking. Raising Awareness: Providing Support for the Asian American Community
April 9 | 12 - 1 pm
Join Dr. Michelle Lee, a resident physician and community activist in Manhattan, as she discusses the recent rise of violence against the Asian community. Dr. Lee will share with us her personal experiences with racism and what she and others are doing to spread awareness. You’ll also have the opportunity to hear from medical students who have been affected by racism. The session will end with discussion on how we can help and support the Asian community.

Ethics Faculty Candidate Presentation: Dr. Jake Greenblum

Dr. Jake Greenblum will present "An Introduction to Medical Ethics" to faculty and students. Dr. Jake Greenblum is currently an assistant professor of Internal Medicine at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's School of Medicine. He is a philosopher and bioethicist. He earned his doctorate from Syracuse University and subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical ethics at University Hospital in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Greenblum’s research interests include conscientious objection in medicine, the ethics of surrogate decision making, and the nature of medical authority.

The afternoon will consist of few short lectures on Introduction to Ultrasound and a two-stage competition that will combine ultrasound proficiency with high-yield Step 1 knowledge. The afternoon will conclude with research presentations addressing ultrasound in medicine and medical education.

Registration to participate in the competition is full, but all are welcome to come spectate!
