AP Registration Fees Reminder!
(Deadline for no late fee is Friday October 1st at noon)
Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on tuition.
This year, AP exams will be given during the weeks of May 2nd - 6th and May 9th - 13th 2022.
For the 2022 AP exams, students at Randall Cooper High School will be registering and paying online using the Total Registration system.
Here are the important dates for the registration process:
- Friday, September 10, 2021 at 12:00 AM - Registration begins online
- Friday, October 1, 2021 at 12:00PM (Noon) - Registration deadline without a late fee
- The last day to register for all AP exams is FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2021 at 12:00 PM (noon)
- Exams registered and paid for between 12:01 PM October 1, 2021 and 12:00 PM October 8, 2021 will be charged a $45 late fee.
- Friday, December 17, 2021 at 2:30PM - Last day to cancel an exam and not be charged a cancellation fee.
Please note there will be some exams that start at Noon and will go past the end of the school day and will require personal transport. AP students need to check with their AP teacher if this applies to them.
Students who are eligible for free/reduced lunch are coded as such in Infinite Campus will not pay a fee for the exam - please contact Mrs. Tracy Moore with any questions.

Governor's School for the Arts (GSA)
Attention: Sophomores and Juniors that are interested in applying for the Governor's Scholars for the ARTs (GSA) are invited to attend an information meeting in the library on Thursday Sept 30th at 2:30pm.
The Governor's School for the Arts is a great opportunity for students involved in the Arts. GSA auditions promising high school sophomores and juniors in nine different arts disciplines: Architecture + Design, Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Film + Photography, Instrumental Music, Musical Theatre, Visual Art and Vocal Music.
This FREE three-week summer experience will happen at University of Kentucky (Lexington, KY)
The 2022 Applicant guides will be released on October 13th, 2021.
The GSA 2022 Application is due by January 9th, 2022 - by 11:59 p.m.
In January and February adjudicators will review all applicants online and select finalists. All applicants will be notified of whether they have advanced to the final round on February 18th 2022.
In the second round, all finalists will attend an in-person audition/review if health guidelines allow; if auditions shift to a virtual model, more information will be sent to applicants These auditions will take place on March 18th and 19th 2021.
Final decisions for the 2022 GSA class will be made and all finalists will be notified on April 15th 2022.

Swim/Dive Team Tryouts
Swim Team tryouts will be October 5th and October 12th. Please click the link below for more information and the sign-up link. All athletic forms must be filled out prior to try outs using Final Forms.

Archery Tryouts
Archery tryouts will be on Tuesday, October 19th from 5pm-5:45pm or 6pm-6:45pm. Deadline to sign up for tryout is October 13th by 2:30pm.

Navigo Scholars
NaviGo Scholars is a career exploration program that runs from October 2021 through March 2022. Students apply to the career focus area(s) they want to explore, then sponsor companies select the Scholars. NaviGo Scholars meet twice per month during after school hours – once with a business sponsor and once with a NaviGo Coach.
*Applications are open until Monday, September 27th.
How will this help your students?
- NaviGo Scholars opportunities are work-based learning experiences.
- Students engage in hands-on activities, networking, soft-skills training, career & college prep, and more.
- Career Exploration helps students determine if their career interest is also a good aptitude fit.
