SAT Opt-Out:

Juniors who are seeking to opt-out of the March 3rd SAT, must notify Dr. McBride in writing no later than Friday, February 12th. You must provide proof that you are taking the SAT or ACT on another date. Bishop Manogue requires students to take one SAT or ACT to graduate. 
Course Registration:

Please complete the following class registration forms. Please choose your classes by selecting your courses from the drop-down menus. You must meet the posted prerequisites for your selected courses. Please read the posted prerequisites to ensure your child is eligible for enrollment in the course.

Counselors will collect forms electronically through your submission, and may contact you with any questions. Please submit your completed form no later than February 12, 2021.

Once submitted, you must contact your child's counselor to make any changes. All schedule changes must be received no later than May 27, 2021. No schedule changes will be made between May 28, 2021, and August 9, 2021.

Need Help with College Planning? Dr. McBride is the College Counselor. She can assist you with college planning, building your list of 5-7 schools to apply to in the fall, and more. Contact Dr. McBride to set up a meeting. The time is now to plan for fall of senior year. 
Attention Seniors:

Please be aware of your college application deadlines. Any letters of recommendation that you need from your school counselor require two weeks’ notice. All requests must be turned into Dr. McBride no later than February 15th.

Applying to college can seem daunting, and the prospect of paying for it can seem even more overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be. The College Prep Scholars Program equips high-achieving high school juniors from low-income backgrounds with the knowledge, confidence, and resources to apply to top colleges.

Why apply as a junior? Being a College Prep Scholar is a notable distinction that shows our 45 college partners that you are a competitive candidate for admission. In addition, your application will automatically carry over for the National College Match when you’re a senior, giving you a head start on applying for a full four-year scholarship to our college partners. College Prep Scholars are historically five times more likely than other applicants to receive full four-year scholarships through the National College Match.

University of Miami Summer Scholars Program

University of Miami Summer Scholars Program provides an authentic college experience to prepare high-achieving high school students for academic success.

The program’s three-week, credit-bearing option (for high school sophomores and juniors) and two-week, noncredit option (for high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors) will be delivered in a synchronous, remote format for Summer 2021. The three-week option will run from July 4, 2021, to July 23, 2021, and the two-week option will run from July 4, 2021, to July 16, 2021.

When students enter the "GUIDANCE" waiver code on page 5 of the application by April 30, 2021, they can:
  • Reduce the cost of the application fee by $25
  • Secure priority in their preferred academic specialty
  • Receive their acceptance status earlier
  • Scholarship Opportunities Are Available

A limited number of scholarship opportunities are available for the three-week, credit-bearing program. Students should complete both the program’s application and the scholarship application by March 1, 2021, to be considered.
Notre Dame Summer 2021 Pre-College Program

Students have a unique opportunity to live and learn on campus under the guidance of ND faculty at their Summer Scholars and Leadership Seminars.
Lathrop-Capurro Internship

TMCC Summer Bridge Program

The 2021 Summer Bridge Program application is now open! Program benefits consist of but are not limited to: 2 FREE college courses (Math 96/126 and EPY 101), 6 credits total. For program eligibility, details, schedule, and application, please visit their site.
Carnegie Mellon Summer Bridge Program

Carnegie Mellon summer Pre-College program options for summer 2021 are listed below. 

  • Summer Session, students take two full-length Carnegie Mellon courses in a variety of disciplines, ranging from Computer Science, History to Music Technology.
  • Summer Academy for Math and Science, provides students from underrepresented communities the opportunity to achieve skills to pursue and complete majors in STEM fields.
  • Computer Science Scholars, provides students who are from traditionally underrepresented communities in the field of computer science an opportunity to receive exposure to computing and additional computer science pre-requisites. 
  • AI4All @ Carnegie Mellon, provides opportunities for students from underrepresented communities to study artificial intelligence with full-time faculty, staff and researchers who are leaders in the field.
  • National High School Game Academy, for students who want to learn about modern video game development through a unique blend of left- and right-brain college-level work.
  • Computational Biology, a three-week program for students looking to learn more about the intersection of the two disciplines.
  • Unique programs in the Fine Arts - Architecture, Art, Design, Drama, or Music – in which the students experience developing their skills in a conservatory or studio setting.
  • Writing & Culture, guided by the mentorship and instruction of our highly distinguished, permanent faculty members, students will improve their ability to analyze complex, ever-changing problems through astute investigations of culture and society.

American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES)
AISES is a national, nonprofit organization focused on substantially increasing opportunities for American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, First Nations, and other Indigenous peoples of North America in STEM studies and careers.

One of the ways AISES strives to meet their mission is through the numerous scholarships that are provided for AISES members (membership is free to all pre-college and college students). AISES scholarships are all merit-based and range from $1,000 to $10,000 an academic year and are available at the college and graduate level. The applications open on December 15 of each year and close on March 31 of the following year.

Cobell Scholarship, Administered by Indigenous Education, Inc.
The Cobell Scholarship program provides elevated opportunities for American Indian and Alaska Native college students by empowering them with an engaging scholarship experience designed to support their success in higher education.

Vocational, undergraduate, and graduate-level students are encouraged to apply. Eligible applicants must be enrolled in a U.S. federally recognized tribe and be attending a nonprofit institution.
