June 2020
Mental Health is health
Agencies are prepared and ready to serve those in need.

The County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADM) Board is working in tandem with its provider agencies to ensure continuity of care for our local mental health and addiction system during the COVID-19 crisis.

If you or someone you care about is in need of support, don't wait! Mental health and addiction treatment are essential healthcare services, especially during this difficult time. In addition to our traditional services, telehealth is readily available. For a list of programs and important phone numbers visit www.admboard.org.
#EraseTheStigma
All races go through mental illness, but we also can experience it differently because of our race and social backgrounds.

African Americans are 20% more likely to experience serious mental health problems than the rest of the general population. However, many black people still do not wish to seek professional help for their mental illnesses.

"Safe Place" is an app to bring more awareness, education, and hope to this serious issue. Not only can the black community benefit from this app, but also mental health professionals, friends, and family, of ALL colors can be better educated on this issue.
June is Pride Month
Check out these ways to support the
LGBTQ+ community

Pride month is a time for the LGBTQ+ community and allies to come together in solidarity to celebrate and embrace identity. Acceptance and support also directly impacts overall mental health.
