We are WELL!

Notes from our team

Colleagues,

The last year defies description. Every one of us has been impacted in myriad ways. Many of us are feeling stretched as work and non-work responsibilities collide, and wondering what awaits us as more and more of us return to campus.

It's been said that complex problems need comprehensive solutions. This was the inspiration for a new vision in the Office of Human Resources. We envision a set of services that address your needs in a more comprehensive and holistic way.

We've taken a bold step, merging the Office of Well-being and the Learning & Organization Development team. Together, we are the WELL team (Well-being, Engagement, Learning & Leadership).

Our mission is to help you thrive today and grow into tomorrow by delivering programs to address your personal and professional growth. We have much work to do in order to fulfill this promise - and we're working hard at it.

Let's together make the coming years a time of fulfillment across the various intersecting dimensions of our lives; socially, intellectually, physically, mentally, spiritually, and in our careers. In other words, it's our time to be WELL!

Celebrating Manager Certificate Completions!

Congratulations and thank you to these managers across the University who dedicated time to earning a Manager's certificate in Leading Distributed Teams.

This program was designed to equip participants with skills and knowledge to lead effectively in the shift to remote/distributed work environments. We know that when managers commit to learning and growth, it impacts team effectiveness and engagement and we appreciate the commitment!

Leading Distributed Teams is becoming Manager's Corner

Join us in the MS Teams community to meet other managers across Northwestern, share ideas, and join in monthly dialogues. This space has been created to share resources, challenges, share what's working, ask questions, and accelerate our collective learning about leading and managing teams.

We'll continue to cover a broad range of managerial topics, and include discussion and resources on leading hybrid work, with a focus on flexible working arrangements.

Visit our Lead From Where You Are page to access resources which can help you navigate the management challenges of today.
