Re-enroll between February 1-15 for Tuition Lock
The Colorado Springs School Board of Trustees has voted to continue the Tuition Lock program for a fourth year. The program allows current families that re-enroll between February 1-15 to avoid annual increases in tuition. This rewards our current families for their commitment to a CSS education, allows them to plan for the future, and is part of our strategic plan to bolster enrollment and retain mission-minded students and families. Tutt Field House Gets Refresher with Teamwork

Tutt Field House is one of the premier high school gymnasiums in Colorado Springs with its unique design that offers natural light, a balcony view, and a sleek Kodiak mural. Still we hear feedback from officials and other teams that they love to play in our facility with its intimate and clean setting.

Since its completion in 2005 the field house has served as the most-utilized facility on campus, housing not only athletic practices and games, but also PE, music, and band classes. The schedule rarely allows opportunities for work and maintenance to be completed. Before El Paso Flooring was due to re-varnish the floor after the New Year, several Kodiaks jumped in to help apply some color to the gym walls. Also, the southend bleachers were upgraded and replaced after years of use.

When you return to campus you should notice some subtle changes in the gym, all to help us maintain our reputation as one of the favorite venues in the city. Thank you to Libby W., Mia C., Luke T., Abrielle S, Cameron R., Kate G., and Tyler J. for your help with the paint job! It is so refreshing to witness our Kodiaks taking pride in their gym and ownership in its presentation. It was truly a team effort!
Middle School Athletics Returning to Black Forest League
After thoughtful consideration and conversations, CSS Athletics is excited to announce our return to the Black Forest League (BFL) with the sports of volleyball and basketball. Soccer will remain in the Central Collegiate Athletic League (CCAL) as it is not a sport option in the BFL. Since the start of Middle School athletics at CSS, we competed in the BFL until 2016, when the switch was made to CCAL. Nearing the end of a four-year cycle, we will be taking advantage of the opportunity to play in the BFL once again. Read here about what this means for athletes.

ROAR: Achievements
Model UN Competes in Switzerland
Several members of the Model United Nations Club are competing in the international competition FerMUN 2020 in Geneva, Switzerland. They are interacting with students from around the world, building consensus, and working towards developing resolutions to the problems that are presented in a council. Kodiaks are excited about the relationships they established with delegates from other countries, including Turkey, Italy, New Zealand, Rwanda, Morocco, Dubai, El Salvador, the U.K., and Pakistan. We will recap their trip on social media once students return next week. Good luck, Kodiaks!
Submit Student Achievements & Photos

Parents and teachers are encouraged to submit nominations and digital photos of student achievements to Anslee Wolfe, Communications and Marketing Manager, at  [email protected] These extracurricular achievements make us a well-rounded school and highlight the many unique talents and passions of our student body. Each week, a diverse selection of achievements is highlighted in ROAR and shared on social media.
