The SEFAA Center is still closed for regular business, but we will be hosting a (Pandemic)
Pop Up Shop on Wednesdays and Sundays starting August 9th. We have fabric - home decor (upholstery to sheers and knits), lengths of dressmaking fabric, as well as smaller samples and off cuts. We have yarn - weaving and knitting. We have equipment - a sewing machine, a dress form, a floor loom, a tapestry loom, a horizontal swift, a Navajo spindle and a spinning wheel. We have books and magazines. We have general art supplies. And, we have a lot! So, reserve a slot and then shop to restock.
You'll need to
reserve a time slot to enter the Shop. We are charging $5 per reservation to discourage no shows and we will, in turn, reduce your total purchase price by $5. Time slots are on the hour and the half hour and there are a maximum of 4 reservations available for each time slots so that there are no more than 10 people in the SEFAA Center at any one time. Mask wearing is mandatory inside the SEFAA Center as is using hand sanitizer upon entering the building.
Pandemic shopping can be fun and safe. Come check it out! And, as always, please call 678.235.4328 or
email if you have any questions.

Opportunities to Contribute
Our
Blanket Love
Project is ongoing, and we encourage you to make blankets for people and pets in need. Please
email for details and to schedule delivery of the warmth and joy you've created.
|
The
Pandemic Banner Project is a memorial project that honors lives lost to COVID-19 with personal remembrances. Each banner will be a collage of small textile tributes created by those who have lost someone to the disease. The project goals are to help survivors begin to heal, to help us grapple with the enormity of our losses, and to ensure that our friends and loved ones are remembered for eternity.
|
Last, but not least, if you are Kondo-ing your studio or craft area,
please consider donating your textile-related stash to SEFAA. We'll continue to add items to our
eBay store and our own
website shop as well as replenish
Pop Up Shop inventory.
Email and we'll sort out donation and delivery details!

Reopening the SEFAA Center: Our doors remain shuttered due to the pandemic except for rare special events like this month's
Pop Up Shop, which has been designed so that you can safely shop for bargains.
Intertwined 2020: This amazing exhibition closed at the Turner Center for the Arts in Valdosta Georgia on July 29th. Thank you to all our artists, our galleries, and to Katrina Stone, SEFAA Board President, for coordinating it all.
Newsletter Changes: We're experimenting with shorter, weekly newsletters to stay more connected and to improve readability. Here's the schedule and what you can expect with each issue:
- 1st of the month - Upcoming SEFAA programming and SEFAA News
- 8th of the month - Of Interest, Gallery, and Membership Corner
- 15th of the month- SEFAA programming update
- 22nd of the month - Opportunities, Around the Region, Volunteer Corner
Form 990: Our informational IRS return was submitted on July 15th. You can view the return by
