Crosstown Connection Oct 2- 8
--- Wednesday Nights ---
Sabbatical
Pastor John's 6-week Sabbatical is just around the corner. He will be gone Oct 4- Nov 14 for this first installment, and then take a second break in the summer.
Marathon Sunday Traffic
Just a heads up to plan your drive to church accordingly around the Twin Cities Marathon.
Overcomer
This Sunday we will hear the testimony of Tiffany Jacobsen as she moves forward in grace and forgiveness after being forced into sex slavery as a child.
And if you would be interested in learning more about human trafficking and how to end it, join Steph Paige on Wednesday nights at 6:30.
How can you help the church grow?
One easy way to help encourage people to check out Crosstown is to leave an online review.
What difference does that make? It makes a huge difference when we know that 78% of consumers will read reviews before they make a decision. People take positive reviews as more valuable and truthful about the organization than what the organization says about itself. Here are three locations (Yelp, Google, and LinkedIn) where you could leave a review of Crosstown, but there are obviously many more.
Prayer on Zoom
Are you looking for a way to infuse our congregation's mission and health with prayer? Are you in need of personal prayer? We are a group of believers who believe in the power of prayer! Join us as we gather to pray for each other, the congregation, the mission of the church, and local and global needs. Meeting times and Zoom links can be found in your app and on the prayer website page.

Have a prayer request? You can submit it on the prayer page, email the office, or text Polly. This request will be prayed for on Wednesday. Requests will not be sent out to the prayer chain unless specifically requested.
Searching for a New Director of Worship Arts
This week as we pause each day to pray for a Director of Worship Arts, let's begin by rejoicing in God's generosity in the words of Psalm 147:8-9

The Lord covers the heavens with clouds, provides rain for the earth, and makes the grass grow in mountain pastures.
He gives food to the wild animals and feeds the young ravens when they cry
the Lord's delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love.

As we ask for God's will and direction, let us pray "God, I ask you to guide me. As I listen, teach me to surrender my agenda, and to patiently trust in You with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding." (Proverbs 3:5)

Thank you for your prayers,
The Worship Director Search Committee
