Update on the Save Our Stages Act

The Save Our Stages Act is now called "Shuttered Venue Operators" grant program and will be administered by the Small Business Administration (SBA)

  • The Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG)
  • The SVOG program is part of the Economic Aid to Hard-Hit Small Businesses, Nonprofits and Venues Act (Economic Aid Act) signed into law on Dec. 27, 2020.
  • The program includes $15 billion in grants to shuttered venues, to be administered by the SBA’s Office of Disaster Assistance.
  • Eligible applicants may qualify for SVO Grants equal to 45% of their gross earned revenue, with the maximum amount available for a single grant award of $10 million. $2 billion is reserved for eligible applications with up to 50 full-time employees.
  • Eligibility requirements may have changed, so it's important to read the updates.
  • Click here for more information from the SBA.
  • Go here to access a FAQ pdf about SVOG.
  • The SBA is working expeditiously to open SVOG applications and encourages you to stay up to date by frequently visiting www.sba.gov/coronavirusrelief for information.

Did you see the news about all the software updates?
We've been busy ringing in the New Year by implementing a new procedure when it comes to software updates. Lately, we've been sending lots of news your way about recent updates.

We now send you an email alert after each update has been thoroughly tested and is about to be uploaded to our main server by our programming team. That way you immediately know about the improvements. We also include the all important Build Date so you can ensure that when you run an update, you have the correct one.

Here are a couple of Help Desk pages that have links to the update emails.

Wintix lets you sell tickets at the same time to an event
being both live streamed and performed in person
As COVID restrictions loosen, you may want to sell tickets to a concert of a guy singing to chickens that people could see either STREAMING or LIVE. You can even display a seating chart for the live performances at the same time.

In the example below, if you click the red box, you would be taken to a shopping cart where you could choose streaming tickets. If you clicked on the seating plan graphic, you would be taken to a seating chart to choose your seats.

Wintix can automatically create socially distant seating charts!
As you either open or prepare to open this year, you will need to follow safety and distancing guidelines. That is why you can employ automatic socially distant seating in Wintix and Webtix.

You choose between one to three seats to keep empty on each side of a group and the software does the rest.

We can even help you modify your seating plans to temporarily remove rows to improve social distancing.
