The mission of PESA has remained our focus since inception: Creating a better future for our community through advocacy, mentorship and education. April is an especially strong nexus of those three points of action, as it is Earth Month, which coincides with the founding of Earth Day in 1970, and PESA has created a suite of educational programs to inform students about the importance of caring for our planet.
Educators throughout the Southland are encouraged to avail themselves of several no-cost presentations PESA staff can make to students on “Recycling,” “Earth & Climate Change,” “Waste Reduction” and, from our “What If…” series, “What If We Created Less Pollution?”
These programs are for the time being presented virtually and can be catered to students ranging from elementary to high school. Engaging and informative, they encourage student interaction to ensure kids are involved and immersed in the topic.
Following are some of the components from these presentations.
