Calli will be our new home

These smiles are the reflection of all our excitement and gratitude. This Thursday, April 28th, we had the great opportunity to host virtually our Strategic Update with staff and special guests. We want to say thank you for attending this event and being part of Centro's ‘new home’ to the community.

During the event, Centro provided an update on the location of the new building. It is just down the block from our current space, across the street from Lincoln Elementary School. This building has been designed by Centro for Centro with support from EUA. It will be full of color, safety, culture, and vibrancy and will be a place to sustainably grow our programming to better meet the needs of the community. 

“We are incredibly honored to introduce how our concept of home reflects our community. Our home is the people, the environment, the neighborhood, and the land where we live, not just the building. That home, those people is the energy you carry with you and it drives you. That is what our logo, Calli, for the Capital Campaign represents,” Karen Coller at the Strategic Update.

Investing in Centro is a way to have active hope
In presence of dear staff, supporters, and amigos, Centro was also pleased to announce a $500,000 gift from the Rennebohm Foundation that brings our current fundraising total to just over $10 million. 
“Centro is a unique hub to provide safe trusted opportunities and a sense of belonging for the Latinx community. They support and lead the broader community to build stronger collaborations. Investing in Centro is a way to have active hope,” stated long-time supporter, Helene Nelson.
