Each one of our Habitat homes is uniquely beautiful and complements the existing homes in their surrounding neighborhoods in many ways. Our volunteers recently fixated beautiful, one-of-a-kind corbels onto the front of our current build at 506 Wye Street. Members of our volunteer Build Committee worked with Levatta Crawford, the home's future owner, to design, create, and install these corbels, making them special for this home. These detailed, decorative pieces look incredible and will make the Crawford Family even more proud to own this home for years to come. Thank you to our Build Committee for this thoughtful gift and special way to make this house a home.

We've made fast progress on the future home of the Crawford Family in the last couple of weeks! On Saturday, May 7, our Interfaith volunteers moved all 122 sheets of drywall into the house for installation, and that drywall was installed by more volunteers just this past week.

Special thanks to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for generously providing lunch for all volunteers on April 30, and to Flower Mound United Methodist Church for providing lunch on May 14. Generosity of time and efforts from partners like these is what makes our mission to build homes and community possible.
Community Spotlight: Keller Williams Realty "RED Day"
Keller Williams Realty Denton has been volunteering with Habitat for Humanity of Denton County for the past 6 years on their annual "RED Day." The entire Keller Williams company - from the U.S. and Canada to abroad - sets aside the second Thursday of May to Renew, Energize, and Donate within the communities they serve. This year, Keller Williams Realty Denton team served on our Interfaith Build in Denton, helping to install drywall inside the home.

At the heart of Keller Williams' culture is their shared commitment to community service. The immeasurable generosity of their teams enables them to care for their own as well as their neighbors, no matter the magnitude of what is needed. They've poured into their communities in a number of ways, initiating service projects like building new homes from the ground up, gathering and distributing food to those who need it, organizing relief efforts when a natural disaster hits, and even spreading joy and raising funds as only KW can when life takes an unexpected turn. These are just a few of the community activities they've carried out in support of those who have poured into them.

We are honored to have their consistent support in building affordable homes for deserving families in our local community. Thank you, Keller Williams!

Our A Brush with Kindness program serves low-income homeowners impacted by age, disability, and/or family circumstances who struggle to maintain the exterior of their homes. This program not only helps homeowners, but also revitalizes and energizes local neighborhoods.

There is no cost to apply or to receive these services, but you must qualify for the program. Apply today by clicking here.

Thank you, Wells Fargo Builds!
Thank you to Wells Fargo for selecting Habitat for Humanity of Denton County to receive a $30,000 grant as part of its nationwide initiative to help low-to-moderate income families construct and improve homes across the country!

Generous supporters like Wells Fargo make it possible for us to partner with families in need to build decent, affordable housing in Denton County, and we are grateful to partner with our local Wells Fargo chapters. Local support remains critical to address the unprecedented affordable housing crisis we are experiencing in Denton County. The work we do to build high-quality, affordable homes in our community would not be possible without support from local organizations. From sponsorships to in-kind donations to volunteer efforts, we thank you for your enthusiastic and consistent support of Habitat's mission!
Happy Mother's Day
Last Sunday, we celebrated the strength and resilience of all the mothers of our Partner Families. Their hard work, love, and care is appreciated by many - not just on Mother's Day, but every day.

Did you know that almost 50% of our Partner Families are led by single mothers? These women are incredibly hardworking, oftentimes working multiple jobs to make ends meet and offer the best life for their kids. With housing costs skyrocketing, leaving many with little income to afford basic necessities, owning a Habitat home has allowed for stability and security they otherwise would not have during these unprecedented times.

Through Habitat's Homeownership Program, these families' dreams of homeownership become a reality. By investing 300-400 "sweat equity" hours on their home and making affordable monthly mortgage payments with zero equivalent interest, our families work hard to build and maintain their new Habitat homes, knowing their children will live in safety and security - for generations to come.
Save the date for our next Financial Education class on Saturday, May 21 at 10:00 AM at the Greater Denton/Wise County Association of Realtors, presented by Independent Financial in both English and Spanish. This seminar is free to attend and all members of the community interested in preparing their finances for the large endeavor of homeownership are welcome.
Looking to double your impact? Thanks to a matching grant from the Hoblitzelle Foundation, every gift to the Habitat Village will be matched up to $50,000! We have already raised over half of the funds needed to meet this match and need your help to reach it. Now is the time to give!
Turn your old car into cash by donating it to Habitat for Humanity. We'll put the proceeds toward affordable housing in YOUR community! Vehicles do not have to be running, but they must be whole and have four inflated tires so they can be moved by our towing operators. If you're looking to support Habitat for Humanity of Denton County, this is a great way to do so.
