Roslyn Public Schools
SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS

April 6, 2020
Dear Roslyn Families,

Governor Cuomo announced today that schools in New York will remain closed until April 29, emphasizing that social distancing measures must remain in place to minimize the spread of the coronavirus.

Unfortunately, I continue to receive reports of people congregating in school parking areas, particularly at the high school. Please respect that ALL school facilities are closed. Our security staff, as well as local enforcement, put themselves in harms' way every time they have to break up groups that are in violation of social distancing directives.

In addition, NYS Board of Regents Chancellor Dr. Betty A. Rosa announced that Regents examinations scheduled in June 2020 will be cancelled. School districts are expected to receive additional guidance about graduation standards on Tuesday. We will notify parents and students who are impacted by this decision when we have more information.

As ever, events continue to move quickly. I will keep you informed of important developments as they arise.

Stay well, Roslyn.

Sincerely,
Allison Brown
