News and Events
Alumni turned out in numbers for our recent fall events. Thanks to all those who attended the Nursing Reunion and Lecture, Alumni Quizzo, and the Golden Anniversary Luncheon.

ETC Dedication
The Education and Technology Center was dedicated to President Emeritus Sister Francesca Onley on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. We are grateful for her tireless service to our University. Thank you, Sister Francesca!

More pictures from the Dedication can be found on the University Facebook page.

Nursing Reunion
This thought provoking lecture was attended by over 100 HFU nursing alumni, faculty and students. Also in attendance were nursing professionals from universities and hospitals throughout the region. Sorell's topic was Creating a Culture of Patient Safety Together. Sorrel King is the author of "Josie's Story: A Mother's Inspiring Crusade to Make Medical Care Safe."

Alumni Quizzo
The Alumni Association Board hosted a fantastic Quizzo Night at Cannstatter on Friday, November 6th. This event raised $1,500 which will go directly to funding a scholarship for a current Holy Family student during the 2016-17 academic year. On behalf of the Alumni Board, we are so grateful for your support.

Golden Anniversary Luncheon
We welcomed over 30 women from our classes of 1958 to 1966 back to campus for a reunion and lunch on November 12, 2015. Congratulations to these amazing women on celebrating 50 years of success and adventure. Thank you for sharing your stories with us!

More pictures from the Golden Anniversary Luncheon can be found on the Alumni Facebook page.

Zumba
There are a few more Zumba classes remaining for the semester! Zumba classes are free and open to all alumni.

Glen Foerd-HFU Speaker Series
Glen Foerd-Holy Family University Speaker Series
Thursday, December 3

Join us as Dr. William Blair, Director of the Richards Civil War Era Center, discusses, "Punishing the Rebels: A New Look at the Fourteenth Amendment," on Thurs., Dec. 3, at 7pm, in the ETC Auditorium at Holy Family University. Despite many advocates for executions, no rebel hanged for treason after the American Civil War. But this does not mean that they escaped punishment. We'll find the best articulation of how the United States punished the rebels in the Fourteenth Amendment, which channeled the cries for vengeance into a document that met the rituals of a democratic legal culture.

As always, if you have any additional questions, comments or needs we can address, do not hesitate to contact us.

Best,

Alumni Office
