Sounds of Summer Concert Series Continues Thursday, May 26, with Kingfish!

Garland’s Sounds of Summer Concert Series continues with Grammy-winning artist Christone "Kingfish" Ingram at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at Audubon Park.

Along with presenting partner Veritex Bank and artist sponsor Jimmy Wallace Guitars, the City is proud to feature touring on-the-rise artists and lively entertainers who are sure to blow you away with talent and get you dancing. View the full lineup at VisitGarlandTX.com.

The first three concerts are at Audubon Park, 342 W. Oates Road. Beginning June 23, the Sounds of Summer moves to the Winters Park Amphitheatre located at 1330 Spring Creek Drive. The concerts are FREE! Bring the family, grab a bite from on-site food vendors and let the kids challenge each other in the activity area.
Band Together on the Square Concert Series Continues Friday, May 27

Memorial Day Event Monday, May 30
The Noon Exchange Club of Garland invites veterans to a “One Nation Under God” program at 11 a.m. Monday, May 30, at Fields Recreation Center, 1701 Dairy Road.

The event is free. Lunch will be provided to veterans and their spouses with RSVP to SandraNeely46@gmail.com by Thursday, May 25.

The Garland Plan Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, May 23, at City Hall, 200 N. Fifth St.

District 4 Town Hall
May 24
Join Council Member B. J. Williams for a District 4 Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, at Audubon Recreation Center, 342 W. Oates Road. Topics will include an update on bond program projects, a virtual tour of the new Animal Shelter and the recommended plan for Greenbelt Parkway.

Graduation Traffic Delays
Through June 29
High school and college graduations will take place at the Curtis Culwell Center through Wednesday, June 29. Naaman Forest Boulevard will experience traffic congestion during the graduations, so expect traffic delays in the area.
