"Still Standing, Still Smiling" By Motivational Speaker John Kriesel
Thursday, March 12
11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Turtle's Social Centre
112 Lewis Street South, Shakopee
John Kriesel somehow survived a roadside bombing that claimed his legs and killed two of his best friends. The guy who wasn't supposed to survive and was told he probably would be in a wheelchair the rest of his life walked out of Walter Reed Army Medical Center after nine months. His transition from military to civilian life offered many challenges, but his amazing support system, positive attitude, and sense of humor allowed him to bounce back stronger than ever.
Kriesel's intensely positive attitude infects every person he presents to as he relays lessons learned overcoming extreme tragedy. Join us at our March Membership Luncheon to hear Kriesel's powerful message of hope and learn t
he value of a positive attitude to overcome any challenge.
Kriesel is a motivational speaker, the director of veteran services for Anoka County, a part-time personality on KFAN Radio, and co-author of the book, " Still Standing: The Story of SSG John Kriesel," winner of 8 national book awards.
