Beach Wrack Line Scavenger Hunt @ Smith Point
Have you ever noticed the line of shells and seaweed running along the sand that is left behind by the high tide? That is called the wrack line, and it is full of interesting things that you probably never even knew were there. Join a Fire Island National Seashore Park Ranger to learn about aquatic life that washes up along the shore, and participate in a wrack line scavenger hunt! For grades K-6 with one adult.

2021 Long Island Reads: One Island - One Book Pick!

Register here to discuss The Vanishing Act by Brit Bennett, a multi-stranded narrative which tracks the lives of multi-racial identical twin sisters, who reevaluate their choices. As one sister raises a black daughter in their southern hometown, the other sister passes for white with a husband who is unaware of her heritage.
