A Letter from the Bishop Regarding Coronavirus and COVID-19
While COVID-19 has yet to be manifested in our diocese, public health officials are clear that its spread is inevitable. Information about how the virus is transferred is changing on an almost daily basis. It is important to take sensible precautions and make reasonable adjustments to pastoral and liturgical practices, as you and your congregation deem appropriate.

Summer Camp at Bellwether Farm
Bellwether Farm summer camp is an opportunity for campers to immerse themselves in fun, engaging outdoor activities. These programs will seek to teach healthy social, nutritional, and environmental practices, while providing a safe context in which to encounter God's beautiful creation. Campers will have an opportunity to learn about organic gardening, animal care, and creative cooking. They will also participate in traditional camp activities, including swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, fishing, and field games. The Bellwether Farm staff is invested in the life of every camper, seeking to inspire future generations to become passionate leaders in the world around them.

Volunteer Day at Bellwether Farm
Join us on Saturday, March 28
from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. for a volunteer farm day at Bellwether Farm.
Register through Eventbrite.
Volunteering on Bellwether Farm's 1.5 acre farm is an experience like no other. Spend the morning learning about regenerative farming while harvesting, processing, weeding, and building community in the process.
No experience is required and we welcome all ages. Please wear close-toe shoes and bring a water bottle. We do ask that you try and stay for the entire volunteer block if possible. We'll send you home with some farm produce as a thank you for your time and investment in our community.

Do you need Safeguarding God's Children training? The updated Policies for the Protection of Children and Youth from Abuse require Safeguarding God's Children training for many parish leaders, including vestry members. (See more at

Summer Internships
with
the Diocese
The Episcopal Diocese of Ohio will be offering up to four summer internships geared towards college students interested in gaining experience in an office setting. Interns will work on various projects in the offices of Communications, Mission, Development, and the Diocesan Archives. More information is available on the

Carlotta East Scholarship
Carlotta East scholarship applications are now being accepted. This program has assisted many women in the Diocese of Ohio with financial aid since it was established in 1945. Funds are available for those who need assistance to complete their education, upgrade their skills before returning to the workforce, or complete religious training. The usual grant is approximately $1,000. Applicants must hold at least junior undergraduate status by August 2020 in order to apply. Information about the scholarship and the application form may be found on the
diocesan website. The deadline for applications is
March 31.

Toledo-Area Youth Event
An event for all Toledo-area youth is being held on
April 18-19
at St. Michael's-in-the-Hills. Let's get together to meet each other, adventure, relax, and worship. This event is open to youth in grades 6-12 affiliated with parishes in the Diocese of Ohio. Register at

Province V ECW Annual Meeting
All women from the Diocese of Ohio are invited to meet with others from the Midwest (Wisconsin, Illinois, Greater St. Louis, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio) at the Province V Episcopal Church Women (ECW) 2020 Annual Meeting on
May 1-3 at Bellwether Farm. The theme is "Be Not Afraid: Finding Hope in A Violent World." We will learn how we can respond to some of the major social justice issues today. The keynote speaker will be the Rev. Kay M. Houck, co-founder of Her Way of Love. Workshop leaders include Shelby Kretz, founder of Little Justice Leaders; the Rev. Rosalind Hughes, supporter of Bishops United Against Gun Violence; and women's ministry leaders from the Province. Please see the

April 10. Those registered by
April 1 will receive a $25 discount.

Clergy Conference
Clergy Conference will be held
May 12-14 at The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake. All full-time active parochial clergy are required to attend.
Registration is open. The conference will begin on Tuesday, May 12 at 2:00 p.m. with opening worship. The conference will conclude on Thursday, May 14 at 12:00 p.m. Double occupancy is $160 and single occupancy is $225, which includes overnight accommodations for Tuesday and Wednesday, and Tuesday dinner, Wednesday lunch, and Wednesday dinner. There will be a cash bar on Tuesday and Wednesday. Breakfast is not included. The registration deadline is

2020 Anti-Racism Training Dates
Anti-Racism training is required for all individuals in elected and appointed Diocesan positions, and it is also open to all members of the Diocese. The Commission for Racial Understanding will offer this two day training on the following dates:
- May 8 and 9 at Bellwether Farm (Friday and Saturday)
- August 28 and 29 at Trinity Commons (Friday and Saturday)
- November 6 and 7 at Bellwether Farm (Friday and Saturday)

he training goes from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on the first day and 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on the second day. The cost of the training materials and food is covered by the Diocese of Ohio, but lodging is the responsibility of the participant (or their parish). New Resource at the Resource Library
Through Loss to Life is a program for training people to lead an 8-week faith-based small group grief support program. This DVD has 8 segments of training and is 66 minutes long. It will lead the training covering these topics; 1. an introduction to the training, 2. Getting Ready, 3. Role of Facilitators, 4. Design and Flow of Each Session, 5. Group Engagement, 6. Session Highlights, 7. Program Enhancements, and 8. Last Words. There is a facilitator guide to use during the 8-week program providing the facilitator with everything needed to run each session.

St. Philip's, Akron will host a Lenten Fish Fry on Friday,
March 20 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. All meals are $10. Guests may call ahead (330.535-7295) for dinners, or enjoy wonderful fellowship with friends and family in the parish social hall.

St. Paul's, Fremont is hosting a documentary film series held at the Birchard Public Library. Each event includes a documentary and discussion. Snacks will be provided. All events will be held from 6:30-8:00 p.m. On March 26, the topic discussed will be Redlining and Institutional Racism
. There will be two more events upcoming in the next three months.

Church of the Good Shepherd, Lyndhurst will host a
Lenten Shrimp Fry fundraiser on
March 27
from 5:00-8:00 p.m. The dinner will offer a $12 shrimp meal, a $10 vegetarian meal, and a $4 kids meal. Desserts and cold drinks will be available for purchase.

2021 Holy Land Pilgrimage
The Rev. Keith Owen, rector of St. Peter's, Lakewood, is leading a pilgrimage from
April 28-May 13, 2021. The pilgrimage is in collaboration with Iyad Qumri Pilgrimages, LLC.
