RSSN Workshop
Afterschool: 101 - May 17th

How to set up your afterschool programs to help build community, empower youth, and best assist your families. Pacific Southwest Community Development Corporation (PSCDC) Director of Services and his team will walk you through this training and explain the do’s and don’ts of building an afterschool program in your communities.

SHLN Workshop
Vulnerable Tenants with In Home Support Services (IHSS) and Adult Protective Services (APS) - May 19th

This workshop is designed for staff who work at affordable and supportive housing properties, many of them senior properties, and are interested in information about the IHSS and APS programs, including an opportunity to hear about local behavioral health services program experiences supporting tenants in navigating the APS and IHSS programs. 

Presenters will include representatives from the San Diego County Department of Aging and Independent Services (AIS) and Community Research Foundation (CRF). 
Actualizing Diversity, Equity, and Belonging -
May 24th
Panelists will describe how they and their organizations have and are approaching the work of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. Presenters will share how they started this work, the journey so far, what they are currently focusing on.

Presenters will include:

HEAL 2022 Training Series - Upcoming Opportunities

Program Overview
  • Six- week training, once a week for 2 hours, in the evening, with in-person and zoom meetings
  • Learn to share your story and experience with decision-makers
  • Participate in at least FIVE advocacy opportunities
  • Ongoing participating in monthly HEAL meetings, with access to conferences and events
  • Join an important dialogue on how to address homelessness
  • Resources to participate (i.e. laptop and a stipend) will be provided to participants
  • Mental health support will be made available during the training

During Affordable Housing Month in May, the Partnership hosts an annual “Solar 101 Institute” training series (free) covering the nuts and bolts of solar PV installations at affordable housing properties.
