Giving Day is Coming

May 19-20, UC Agriculture and Natural Resources and UCCE launch our independent statewide giving day! We call it UC ANR Giving Day — a day to give back to support the programs you care about. We invite you to support our mission to enhance the quality of life and the environmental and economic well-being of the citizens of California through research and education. By donating to the UC ANR you extend the knowledge and resources of the University to your community. Mark your calendar, spread the word, and stay tuned for more details! Join us at noon and be the first to give — or visit us anytime during the 24-hour giving day. Make your gift then share your support on social media using #GivingDay.  Select your favorite UC ANR programs or support in general.

Seed donation sparks cooking & STEM learning

A big shout out to Corona Seed! Thanks to their generosity, the education harvest garden at Hansen Agricultural Research & Extension Center overflowed with fresh produce this spring. Donated seed was grown and harvested at the Center and vegetables were donated to Ventura County schools. What better way to engage kids in learning about Ventura County agriculture and nutrition than hands-on ag literacy and cooking activities? Over 1300 youth, grades K-12th participated in these STEM lessons. Thank you, Corona Seed, for being a community partner and helping us teach where our food comes from.
