"New Normal - We are Stronger Together"

Many things have changed in these past 30 days since we published our March newsletter. We have added new words to our vocabulary like "social distancing" "flatten the curve" and "COVID-19". We have learned, very quickly, to become comfortable with either working from home, working alone, or working in more isolated circumstances than before. For many of us, we now experience meetings through Zoom calls, experience family connection time over the phone or face chat, and attend video learning or religious services from our home.

While we know that the quarantine will eventually be lifted, we don't know when that will be. A recent quote from the Philadelphia Enquirer stated, "We are experiencing not merely another turn of the business cycle, but a restructuring of the economic order. For some organizations, near-term survival is the only agenda item. Others are peering through the fog of uncertainty, thinking about how to position themselves once the crisis has passed and things return to normal. The question is, ‘What will normal look like?’"

The Key is to keep in mind is this - "We are Stronger - Together"! Each day we hear of amazing stories of businesses who are partnering together to accomplish great things; individuals who are coming together in a unified spirit to deliver food and supplies to those who cannot get out; and groups of volunteers donating their time and resources to make our community stronger.

Walter Payton, NFL running back with the Chicago Bears said, "We are stronger together than we are alone." As we all know, it would be impossible to play the game of football by yourself - it takes a team. Think of our community as "your team" and " we are in it to win it".
