COVID-19 and the Legacy of Racism: Vaccine Hesitancy and Treatment Bias will be held onFeb. 3, 2021, 3-4:00 pm. The COVID-19 pandemic’s devastating impact on Black, Latino and other communities of color has resulted in disproportionately high rates of cases, hospitalizations and deaths. Racism, both historical and current, complicates efforts to reduce these disparities by contributing to vaccine hesitancy, treatment bias, barriers to testing, and ongoing economic and social inequities. Reminder: Round 3 CARES Act/ACT 24 Reporting
As a reminder, child care programs which received the Round 3 CARES Act/ACT 24 payments were required to complete reporting on the use of those funds. As of Friday, Jan. 27, 2021, 60 percent of programs required to report have successfully completed this requirement. OCDEL and DHS have continued to provide support to programs having access issues to the reporting tool.
