April 2021
FROM THE DIRECTOR

I hope that everyone had a wonderful and rejuvenating Spring Break. Thank you to Kendall Wayland and Lori Wurtzel for organizing an awesome Art Fest à la Mode to kick off our break! The art display was beautiful, the Kona Ice was delicious, and it was wonderful to have our families safely gathering on campus again.

Did you know that All Saints School is accredited by The National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education? Early childhood programs accredited by NAC have voluntarily undergone a comprehensive process of internal self-study and invited external professional review to verify compliance with the “NAC for Excellence” criteria. Through this process we are held to a higher standard of excellence in a variety of areas including our physical environment, our curriculum, our health and safety standards, and the mandatory continuing education hours our teachers and administrative staff are required to obtain. All of these elements come together to help us be an extraordinarily high quality preschool. These standards also differentiate us from other local preschools that are only licensed by DCF but not accredited by an outside entity.

Reaching these high standards and maintaining them does come at a cost. Thank you for your continued support of our fundraising efforts, which will be used for a new playground, updated classroom materials, and hardship tuition scholarships.

The next few weeks our classes will be focused on spring, renewal, and of course Easter. You will see lots of eggs, plants growing from seeds, and caterpillars becoming butterflies. All of these activities help young children to add to their conceptual knowledge of Easter and rebirth. Be sure to tune into our weekly Chapel services, shared on our school’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, as Fr. Russell takes us through Jesus’ passion, death, and resurrection in a child-friendly, developmentally appropriate way.

This Holy Week, join me in praying for our school family as we remember Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice and love for us.

With Love,
Emory
COVID-19 UPDATE

To date, 21 of our teachers and staff members have elected to receive the vaccine. By the end of this month, over 75% of our staff will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19! We are grateful for this opportunity and for this massive step toward the continued health and safety of our school community.
WELCOME BACK, MS. CAROL!

Ms. Carol is back, and it’s hard to say who is more excited - her or the children! For those of you who are new to the All Saints family, Ms. Carol is our Outdoor Classroom teacher for all of our students, Young Ones through Kindergarten, as well as the Spanish teacher for our Pre-K wrap-around and Kindergarten students. After a brief leave of absence for the beginning of this school year, she returned on March 1st and jumped right back into creating magical and meaningful learning opportunities for our Little Saints!
DONATIONS NEEDED - SPICES

Spring cleaning? Consider donating your expired spices to our mud kitchen in Outdoor Classroom! Through April, donations can be dropped off through either carline. Thank you for helping us cook up some FUN!
