APRIL 2020 NEWSLETTER
Your Steady Partner in Rough Times
To Our New Hampshire Housing Community,

We did not expect the first edition of our monthly e-newsletter to debut amid such an unusual and difficult time. However, along with all of you, we are forging ahead as best we can. We are committed to continuing to serve, support and work together with our partners and New Hampshire’s communities.

New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority is operating during its normal business hours of 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (the building is closed until further notice to visitors and guests, except under very limited circumstances). While most of our employees are working remotely, we are available via email or telephone , and our website NHHFA.org is an excellent resource.

To help address the additional and urgent need for housing during this crisis, the NHHFA Board of Directors at its March meeting committed $1 million in emergency
financial support to our affordable housing partners, including organizations providing for the state’s homeless residents. The funds will assist those organizations facing a variety of financial impacts due to the COVID emergency. A notice regarding how to apply for the funds will be published by 5 PM on April 3rd , and applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.

Also, the Board expanded its commitment to NHHFA's Emergency Housing Program with an additional $200,000 allocation. These funds are administered by the state's Community Action Agencies to provide short-term rental assistance to those in need. New Hampshire Housing is coordinating other funding efforts to support the good work of our partner agencies.

We're here to help with your housing needs. Give us a call if you need assistance or guidance. Be safe and healthy.
