Last night security officers attempted to stop a vehicle that was involved in a property damage accident while leaving a marina event.
The driver fled from security and the vehicle was located in Shearwater where the driver abandoned a white pick up truck.
Officers secured the vehicle, searched the area thoroughly, and called the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers locked down the exits and continued to watch for the driver throughout the night, however, it is believed that the driver left the property in another vehicle.
Security has identified the driver and PBSO has taken a report. The incident is still under investigation at this time.
The driver has no criminal record and although there was no apparent risk to residents, the security team was on heightened alert throughout the night.
