Promotional Video Drives Interest To The "Home Furnishings Capital Of The World"TM
Visit High Point pitched High Point as a safe furniture shopping destination with the support of a grant through the Economic Development Partnership of NC. A promotional video featuring some of our Count on Me NC participants highlighted a furniture shopping experience with a call to action (CTA) driving traffic to our website and requesting a furniture shopping packet. Over five weeks, the YouTube and social media campaign generated 8,594 clicks to VisitHighPoint.com and resulted in 377 furniture packet requests!

The US Small Business Administration is overseeing the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant. Applicants must have been in operation as of Feb. 29, 2020; and venue or promoter must not have received a PPP loan on or after Dec. 27, 2020. In addition, SVO is only open to small entities with up to 50 employees. The Shuttered Venue Operators (SVO) Grant program was established by The Economic Aid to Hard-Hit Small Businesses, Nonprofits, and Venues Act, signed into law on Dec. 27, 2020. The program includes $15 billion in grants to shuttered venues, to be administered by the Small Business Administration’s Office of Disaster Assistance.
Eligible entities that can apply include:
· Live venue operators or promoters
· Theatrical producers
· Live performing arts organization operators
· Relevant museum operators, zoos and aquariums who meet specific criteria
· Motion picture theater operators
· Talent representatives, and
· Each business entity owned by an eligible entity that also meets the eligibility requirements
The SBA is in the process of setting up the grant program and is not yet accepting applications. Small businesses who have suffered the greatest economic loss will be the first applications processed. Visit the website for more information, such as eligibility requirements and when applications will be accepted.
