Dear St. Francis of Assisi Parents and Guardians,
Hopefully you have already begun to experience the joy of summer with your family! While we close out this school year and begin preparations for next, we are beyond blessed by the generosity of our beloved community. We were unable to hold our Auction Gala this year and offered some of the items for sale online. Your response was fantastic! We contacted donors who sponsored the event and were overwhelmed with their altruistic response to support the work of our school.
Even without a live auction to bring the STEM Lab to life, our community came together to support the dream of creating a space to allow our students to grow in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Over 300 students will benefit every year from your benevolence. Imagine how many careers will "Come Alive" through the work that will happen in this creative space. Our goal was $20,000 and while we are still tabulating donations, at this moment, we have exceeded that goal! Once our finance department has blessed the final number, we will announce it in the summer newsletter.
We believe in Mrs. Maffia, our amazing lower grade Science teacher. She brings imaginations to life and allows students to explore the universe, take risks in experimentation, think outside the box of what we know to be true, and fall in love with all learning. Thank you families for showing your support for her and the work that she is doing with your children! As she begins her summer sojourn, she continues to reimagine learning and is dreaming of the opportunities that await your children in the years to come.

| Due to the recent announcement of day camps reopening in the County of Orange, several schools in the Diocese of Orange have chosen to reopen their summer programs with extreme guidelines required by the California Department of Public Health. The SFA Camp Wolfpack Team has reviewed the guidelines and prayerfully discerned the feasibility of providing a high quality program for our families while keeping our children and staff safe. St. Francis of Assisi School is committed to preparing the facility to fully reopen in the Fall for all students. To prepare for the significant changes required to safely bring all of our students back on campus, we are putting every effort toward the facility and logistic upgrades necessary. Please plan on joining us next summer as we "Splish-Splash" our way through 2021! |
Many of you asked about yearbooks last week when you came by for drop off. We are happy to announce we have a limited supply of yearbooks still available. If you would like one, please call the office as soon as possible at 714-695-3700 to reserve a yearbook for pick up.
