Dear Colleagues,

As the end of 2019 approaches, I am compelled to share a message before we all embark into a new decade:  You Matter . Whether you are an Approved Provider, a Victim Advocate, a Board member, or just someone who cares, each of you shoulder some part of a complex and imperfect system that seeks to make the world in which we live a little better than the day before. Policies sometimes seem incompatible with process and hopes can appear as abstractions rather than as realities. However, despite these challenges, professionals like you remain steadfast and committed to moving the field of intimate partner violence in a positive direction. I want you to know that your voice, your integrity, your story, and your desire matter in the collective and unified effort to give Coloradans the chance to thrive in safe and healthy communities.

Know that you are not alone, know that you are not forgotten, and know that you have an impact. Please take care of yourselves, relish in the memories you have made this last decade, and I look forward to working with you all in 2020.

Happy Holidays and New Year!

Respectfully,
Jesse
