Isn't it wonderful that as the year comes to a close, Christmas arrives, bringing a new message, a message of hope through Christ? Strengthened by their faith, youth in UCE programs have been empowered to live new lives. African school headmasters ask that UCE teams return because UCE outreaches have specifically reduced teen pregnancies in their schools. This means a bright future for these youth in Uganda, Burundi and Tanzania, since a teen pregnancy there requires the girl to leave school and face a future without an education. UCE brings them the important ABC of "Abstinence, Be faithful until marriage, through Christ." Since in Christ we are a new creation, this message brings a bonafide "second chance" for those who want it! Hope has arrived! As the Africans say, "Our God is a God of second chance!"
As we prepare for the coming of our Savior's birth, I thank you for partnering with UCE in this international pro-life ministry! The forthcoming UCE Annual Report will chart each country's teen pregnancy reduction statistics, providing evidence that young people are keeping their chastity commitments, which will in turn prevent HIV/AIDS and other STDs. The head teacher at the school pictured below commended UCE for the "great work done in this school".
