"Success in not final. Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts."

Reflecting on 2020
2020 was a challenging year. But despite all the hardships and challenges, our community demonstrated resilience. Take a look at all that was accomplished last year in each of the four pillars. We are so proud of our community and for all that they did!
Looking Forward to 2021!
We have some exciting goals for 2021!
Our biggest goal for 2021 is to serve more people than we have in the past 6 years. To accomplish this goal, FTR is looking to expand its services to at-risk youth in local treatment centers, and by certifying more people through our new FTR Certification Program. The goal of the FTR Certification Program is to provide our evidence-based curriculum recovery model (i.e. the Four Pillars) to other organizations serving the recovery population. To learn more about the Certification Program, please visit our website.

We are currently building The FTR Online Store where you can buy FTR T-shirts and other FTR merchandise, and hope to have that up and running by Spring. Stay tuned for more details.

The Fitness Pillar is excited to offer another FTR Fitness Internship to our community members, as well as offer additional Fitness/Nutrition Workshops and Challenges like the one we have this going on this month.

The Nutrition Pillar is looking to offer group nutrition classes that teach our community how to implement healthy habits and lifestyles practices in their everyday life, as well as expand our 1-1 Nutrition Counseling.

The Creative Arts Pillar is looking to expand by including art and writing classes. They will also be certifying 5-6 community members in Hip Hop Therapy through Beats Rhymes & Life, based in Oakland, California.

Finally, the Community Service Pillar is planning monthly/bi-monthly service projects which include PB&J's to the homeless community, Game Night with the elderly via Zoom, and hosting a School Supplies Fundraiser for students at Riley Elementary located next door to FTR.

Creative Arts Member Spotlight

This month we want to give a huge shout out to Keaton Robbins. Keaton has been coming to the creative arts classes from the very beginning. He makes people feel welcome and a part of in class. He has performed in all three Deeply Rooted concerts and is a big part of the FTR community.

We appreciate you Keaton!
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Last month, FTR partnered with the Utah Health Department to put together resource bags filled with non-perishable food items and COVID-19 sanitation supplies. These bags were delivered to 500-700 families at the Utah State Park who were getting COVID-19 tested. Special shout out to Journey Treatment Center for their assistance with this outreach event. We appreciate you!

Our next Service event will be announced soon, where we will be distributing PB&J's, clothing and sanitation supplies to the homeless community. If you're interested in participating, please contact Maara at (385) 267-2050.
