Outreach and Engagement Grant Opportunities

The Office of Outreach and Engagement will be providing grant funds through a competitive process to university faculty and staff to support program, performance, exhibition impact assessment, public policy review/development, professional development programs, and professional conference or workshop participation. The deadline to apply is March 22, 2020.

Richard E. Greenleaf Fellowships

The Latin American Library at Tulane University is pleased to announce the Richard E. Greenleaf Fellowships to support research at the Library for 2020-2021. Their purpose is to offer researchers who permanently reside in any country of Latin America or the Caribbean short-term residential fellowships to use the resources of the Latin American Library at Tulane to conduct research in any field of the humanities or social sciences. 2020 CLASP Junior Faculty Teaching Award: Deadline Extended!

The Consortium of Latin American Studies Programs (CLASP) calls for nominations for its eighth annual "CLASP Junior Faculty Teaching Award." The award recognizes excellence in teaching Latin American Studies designated courses. Nominees must have a Ph.D., and be currently teaching at a CLASP member institution. The nominator (or self-nominator) should briefly provide clear and convincing evidence of the following:

Outstanding teaching effectiveness, including pedagogical style and student success stories.
Contributions to the Latin American Studies program and/or the Department.
Involvement in the wider community, including professional associations and participation in service activities.
Incorporation of own academic research and field experiences into the classroom.

Nominees must also provide a Statement of Teaching Philosophy and a current CV. Nominations will be accepted through March 1st, 2020. If you have any questions, please contact Vincent T. Gawronski ([email protected]).
