To the Parents/Guardians of Springboro Junior High School:

A reminder that online instruction and e-learning activities begin Friday, March 20. Online instructional videos and assignments from your student’s teachers will be posted on Google Classroom according to the daily schedule identified below. Each instructional video will be accompanied by an assignment that your student will be responsible for completing. Student grades on these assignments will be posted in Progress Book under 4th quarter grades. New videos and assignments will be posted for each subject area on the days listed below only. If you would like more work for your student than is being provided, please reach out to your teacher so that they can provide enrichment and/or skill-based learning opportunities.
  • Monday and Wednesday: ELA, Social Studies, and Foreign Language
  • Tuesday and Thursday: Math and Science
  • Tuesday and Friday: Electives/Specials

Teachers will be utilizing their Google Classroom as their main source of providing instruction.Students can access these videos and assignments from their teacher’s Google Classroom webpages. Most teachers already have Google classroom webpages set up. If they do not, such as students beginning a new class for the 4th quarter, students can visit this Google Sheet to find the necessary Google Classroom code.

We are in this together! Do not hesitate to contact your student's teachers, counselor, or myself with further questions.

Third Quarter Grades
As a friendly reminder, 3rd quarter grades will be available in Progress Book on Friday, March 20. Progress Reports will be sent to parents/guardians of Special Education students via email.

Online Learning Expectations
Your student’s education over the upcoming weeks will occur through online instruction and e-learning activities. Therefore, we thought it would be important to remind you, as well as students, of the district’s expectation for student technology usage. Please review these expectations here and have a follow-up conversation with your student about these expectations. Your student's teachers will soon be communicating these expectations to your student.

A Message from the Junior High School Counselors
Our school counselors are available throughout the school day hours (7:15am - 2:20pm) to communicate with students and parents via email (Ms. McConnell, A-K: mmcconnell@springboro.org , Mrs. Mitchell, L-Z: dmitchell@springboro.org ). Please reach out with any questions or concerns you may have.

In the interest of having a smooth transition to online learning for the next few weeks, there will be no schedule changes to 4th quarter elective courses at this time. Teachers are working diligently to deliver online lessons that will actively engage students!

If you have specific questions regarding an academic class/lesson, please reach out to the teacher of that class directly.  We understand this is a difficult time for our families. We are here to support you in any way that we can.
