Staying Connected
Hello Everyone! Since we won't be able to meet in person for the foreseeable future, Traci and Savannah want to do some online connecting with our children, youth and families. Each morning they will send, via email and text, a question, bible verse or activity to do. Everyone is invited and through these activities we hope to stay connected, even from afar! These activities include bible verses, group questions, listening, outside activity, prayer, watching a video and taking a picture.

If you would like to be included in this project, please email Savannah or Traci. Wishing you all good health and lots of love!

Church Council and Zoom

The council meeting scheduled for this Thursday, March 19 will be held via Zoom video conference call. The church has access to this program and is able to set up small groups via an email link. Please contact Tia Monsen if you would like to schedule a Zoom meeting for your small group.
Sunday Worship

We will continue to live stream our Sunday morning worship at 9:30am. A link to the livestream and the bulletin will be sent out on Saturday afternoon. We had a couple technical difficulties last week, but have worked them out for this Sunday. You can participate in worship live on Facebook or the website and you can also watch it later in the week if you are busy Sunday morning. Please contact Tia Monsen if you have any questions or concerns.
Giving

Thank you to all Messiah members and friends for your ongoing financial support. This is our time to continue our ministry in a full and vibrant manner. This is our time to be a support for those whose lives are adversely affected by coronavirus.

Three ways of giving are available. First, mail your offering to the church or drop it off through the mail slot on the north side of the building. Second, set up a bill payment method with your bank and establish a regular routine of giving. Third, give online through the church website or call Lynne and set up a Simply Giving account.

Finally, during this time, the number of people utilizing our nation’s foodbanks is increasing dramatically. I encourage everyone to go to the Feeding America website ( https://www.feedingamerica.org/ ). There, you can find information about hunger in America, ideas on how to respond, and also locate a foodbank in your area to which you can make a donation. This is an especially important time to be working to support those challenged with food insecurity.

Daily Devotions

Beginning this morning Messiah staff will share readings from the ELCA’s Daily Lectionary. There is one reading available each day from the Old Testament, one from the New Testament, and a selection from the Psalms. Each staff member will pick one or more of the readings, share it aloud, and then offer some brief thoughts or comments that the scripture provokes. This sharing from scripture is one way we are working to create new ways of being community in Christ together. You can find these videos on our website homepage www.mlcauburn.org .

The weekly devotion schedule is:
Monday-Tia Monsen
Tuesday-Jan Nelson
Wednesday-Pr. Chuck Harris
Thursday-Deacon Traci Vatne
Friday-Savannah Phelan
