The goal of this seminar is to help tax professionals identify and address (a) implicit and explicit bias against Limited English Proficiency taxpayers and tax professionals and (b) best practices for promoting sensitivity to cultural and other differences that affect tax controversies.

Tax Professionals that attend the seminar are encouraged to accept a pro bono tax controversy case assignment from NYCLA, an ABA-sponsored Tax Court Pro Bono program or a NY or NJ Low-Income Tax Clinic.
