GVBL Tournament Teams
4th Grade Boys - GREAT VALLEY REBELS
The team had their inaugural Malvern League game on Sunday, December 8th. Christopher Naylor is in the archives for scoring the Rebels first two points. Down at halftime 8-9, to the upstart Exton Wildcats, the Rebels came back to win 14-10. All players contributed to this exciting start. The team's next game is December 22nd.
4th Grade Girls - DIAMONDS
The team is practicing weekly. They are p utting in their offense and are a work in progress.
5th Grade Boys - RAIDERS ~ KNIGHTS ~ DRAGONS
The Knights won their first two ICBA games of the season, but their team and the Raiders faced some strong competition at the Rock the Bells Tournament winning only 1 game. The Dragons won their first Malvern League game of the year 22-19.
5th Grade Girls - STORM
The Storm competed in Malvern League action, defeating Swoops by a score of 33-15. Gabby Kasser paced the offense with 12 points and added several blocks on the defensive end. Sophia Kauler worked hard on the glass, hauling in many rebounds. Lauren Chain chipped in 8 points of her own, and Lily Lexer hit several open jumpers. Amelia Guenster, Izzy Maloskey and Emily Chi all worked through the offense against a zone defense. The rest of the Storm had a solid practice, getting ready for the NYE Buzzer Beater Tournament coming up next weekend.

6th Grade Boys - 2026ers
Santa and Mrs. Claus showed their support as the 2026ers kicked off thier ICBA season. We wish a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to the GV Community!

6th Grade Girls - LIGHTNING
The Lightning had a great weekend! They were the champions of the Twin Valley Holiday Tournament and also won their Malvern League game, finishing the weekend with a 5-1 record. What an awesome way to start the holiday break!
7th Grade Boys - PATRIOTS 2025
The team kicked off their ICBA season with a 43 to 31 win over the Springford Rams. Consistent and on-point defense lead the team to a victory over a team that has beaten them in the past.
In Malvern League action, the team battled back but came up short in their game, losing 28-24. The team will compete in the CES NYE Buzzer Beater Tournament next weekend.

7th Grade Girls - TITANS
In their first regular season ICBA division 1 game, the Titans matched up with WWGB, the team they beat to win the King of the Court tournament. Despite falling behind 10-0 against a funky 3-2 zone, the girls battled back to send the game into overtime. The Titans went up by 1 point in overtime, but WWGB pulled ahead on two free throws with 20 seconds remaining and held on to win. We expect a challenging ICBA season with lots of nail biters.
8th Grade Boys - THE BLITZ
The Blitz had their first ICBA game of the season and lost to a solid Cheltenham team by 12. After being down by as many as 20, they were able to trim the lead to 11 in the fourth quarter but couldn't overcome their slow start. Next game for the Blitz is home vs. Penn Valley on 1/5. The entire ICBA schedule is available at www.icbabasketball.com

Thanks to a hardworking crew of GVCO Caring Hands volunteers and a very generous Great Valley community, we have been able to make many positive contributions towards making our community better!

Just during the last few weeks, GVCO Caring Hands launched its first ever clothing drive and donated a truck load of children's items for Cradles to Crayons; hand wrote Thanksgiving cards for Surrey Services' homebound seniors; wrapped and donated over 300 gifts for holiday parties for seniors through Great Valley and Phoenixville Area Senior Centers; raised funds by auctioning the Giant Nutcracker and donated $1,000 of gift cards to GVSD social worker for distribution throughout the school district and $1,000 specifically for our four families through the "Families in Need" initiative.

We are blessed with a great community - Happy Holidays to all!!
