Last Call for Senior Headshots for Yearbook

Seniors: In order for your photo to be in the yearbook and senior composite, you must have your photo taken by Prestige Portraits/Lifetouch Photography. Your senior headshot is free of charge. If you have not had your photo taken, contact Prestige Portraits/Lifetouch Photograph to schedule a time to have your photo taken in their studio tomorrow, January 20th or on January 22nd. These are their last appointment days in the studio. Call 614-626-8708 Opt 0 to schedule.
Deadline to Order (free) Graduation Cap, Gown and Tassel - Tomorrow, January 20

An email was sent on January 8th to Class of 2021 parents and students re: the deadline to order Graduation caps, gowns, and tassels, as well as announcements and other graduation keepsakes. Please click here if you still need to place your order. Please note: there is no cost for the Graduation cap, gown, and tassel, and the deadline to order is tomorrow, January 20.
Stallions in the Spotlight
Members of the Environmental Club recently attended the 2021 Teen Eco Summit Kickoff sponsored the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. The DeSales Eco Team spent a virtual day at the zoo attending workshops, hearing guest speakers, and exploring creative ways to make our school community more eco-friendly. The students will continue to work on their conservation plan from last year, to create an on-campus pollinator garden. This year's Eco Team includes: Mary Polemeni-McGovern '21 (pictured), Akeyla Stewart '21, Beau Gantz '24, Abby Groff '22, Ben Konicki '22, Ellie Mullins '22, Richael Saka '23, and Maggie Valentine '22.
Congratulations to David Chintala, Will Jordan, and Madison Letzelter who were invited to participate in the Class of 2021 Handshake America Scholarship Program. These students will work with local Professional Coaches throughout the next 12 months and be awarded a $1000 scholarship at the end of the program.

  • Fever (100.4°F or higher)
  • New or worsened cough
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Nasal congestion or runny nose

Two or more of the following:
  • Headache
  • Body aches
  • New or worsened fatigue
  • Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea

If a household member is being tested for COVID-19, students and siblings must stay home until results are received.

In conjunction with the Bishop Watterson Mothers Club, the St. Francis DeSales Mothers Club is excited to invite all parents, not just SFD moms, to join Bishop Brennan for an Evening of Reflection on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 7 PM as he speaks on the blessings of a Catholic education. This is a free event but we do ask that you use this link to register.
College Scholarship Letters

Seniors are asked to bring a copy of each and every scholarship letter they have received from a college(s) to the Guidance department. Even if your child decides not to attend that college, we still ask for a copy of the scholarship letter. Please have your child bring letters to their Guidance counselor or Mrs. Hoyer in the Student Service Center. This information will be included in the Graduation program, under your child’s name.
Junior Parent Meeting Recap

Janitorial Position Opening

A full-time janitorial position is currently open at St. Francis DeSales High School. Position responsibilities include office, classroom, general space and restroom cleaning. Light maintenance duties are also required.

40 hours per week, 5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 3pm to 11pm. Daytime hours during the summer and at times when school is not in session. Competitive hourly rate of pay and full benefit package including medical, dental and vision insurance, retirement plan and vacation pay.
