MOCK TRIAL TEAM 2020
TEAM ADVANCES TO STATES
Last week, ECA's
Mock Trial Team defeated Pine-Richland High School
in the semifinals and
won their match against Upper St. Clair High School in the Region 1 Allegheny County finals!
Eden, who is undefeated, will represent Allegheny County in Harrisburg at the Pennsylvania State Championship on March 27-28.
It is the
seventh time Eden Christian Academy has advanced to the state championships since 2007
when the team was formed.
Seventeen students are participating this year -
Eden's largest team ever!
In addition to teacher coach,
Mrs.
Nancy Bishop,
and attorney advisor, Eden alumna
Mrs. Aubrey Hiskey
, the team has two assistant coaches,
Ms. Katelyn Gaston and Mr. Ben Rogers,
Eden alumni and former competitors.
Team members are:
Bukola Ajayi, Leia Davliakos, Leah Gloster, Collin Hicks, Sam Hogue, Liz Jacobs, Vivien Kohler, Nathan Moore, Holly Nassif, Noah Reaoch, Wes Rodu, Eli Rogers, Aneeta Sivaram, Trey Tillotson, Isaac Wick, Lydia Wisler, Isaiah Zimmerman.

We are
seeking an experienced person for daily maintenance and upkeep of our three campuses
.
Applicants should have experience and knowledge of basic plumbing, electric, carpentry, painting, and experience with facility maintenance. This is a full-time position with benefits and tuition discount. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Chick-fil-a Spirit Night
Thank you one and all for participating in the
Eden Spirit Night at Chick-fil-a
on February 11.
Over 50 families
came out for the event and it was a HUGE success!
Not only did we
enjoy great food and fun, we raised $181
which will be used to
support upcoming spring events at the Berkeley Hills Campus
!
Thank you all for making it happen.

REMINDER: CELL PHONES, GAMING, ELECTRONIC DEVICES
These items are
not to be used or visible during the school day
(8-3:30 p.m.). If these items are being used or are visible during the school day, they will be confiscated. Phones must be submitted as is. If a student is ill or needs to speak with a parent, they should ask for permission to be dismissed to the school office. Parents or relatives that need to contact a student during school hours need to call the school office and a message will be given to the student.
For the first offense, the phone will be confiscated
and the parent will be contacted. The phone will be returned to the student at the end of the day. If a second offense occurs, the phone will be confiscated, an after school detention will be given, and the phone will be given to the parent following the detention.

If your child has been ill, please remember that they should be
fever-free for 24 hours before returning to school.

IMPORTANT VOLUNTEER REMINDERS!
Family Volunteer Hours Completed by April 30
Be sure to log your service hours throughout the 2019-2020 school year!
- All Eden families with students in Kindergarten through 12th grade are required to complete a minimum of fifteen (15) hours of volunteer service.
- Families with only preschool aged children enrolled (3-4 year old) must complete a minimum of seven and half (7.5) hours of service.
- Each family is responsible for completing their hours by April 30 and recording them no later than May 3.
- Hours not fulfilled will be billed to the family on or about May 11 at a rate of $10 per hour.
Volunteer Clearances
Eden volunteers must provide all required clearances along with the signed Volunteer Registration Form to your campus volunteer coordinator prior to volunteering.
