PRUNE ALLEY CONSTRUCTION
-Please consider using North Beach Rd and Madrona St to access Prune Alley businesses as road conditions may not be suitable for all vehicles.
-Onsite construction activities will cease throughout the weekend, resuming again on Monday, May 23.
-Please continue to adhere to all posted traffic control devices and instructions from traffic control personal.

MOUNT CONSTITUTION ROAD CLOSURE
Starting next week, Mount Constitution Road (Mt. Lake to Summit) will be closed Monday through Thursday through June 9 to repair damage created by winter storms. Mountain Lake will be accessible throughout construction. The summit may be accessed Friday through Sunday. Click here for more information.

OIEF SPRING BBQ FUNDRAISER MAY 22 CANCELLED
Out of an abundance of caution in the recent surge of Covid-19, the OI Education Foundation has decided to cancel Sunday's BBQ at the Orcas Winery. (They are very sad about this). If you have bought a ticket, they will contact you about a refund.

STILL NOW ON STAGE AT ORCAS CENTER - OPENS TONIGHT
Opening May 19. Following her cancer diagnosis, Annie has a reckoning with her body. How does this new body move in the world? "Still Now” incorporates and is inspired by butoh, a form of Japanese dance that arose in the wake of WWII. Tuesday, May 24 Turtleback Mountain Preserve, Orcas Island. Join Conservation Land Bank staff for one of our May walks on Turtleback Mountain Preserve. GATHERING OF THE EAGLES CANOE ENCAMPMENT 2022
You are invited to a special inter-island tribal canoe journey “The Esqaplh etse Kwelengsen” (Gathering of the Eagles). This grassroots journey will follow ancestral highways in the traditional territories of Lopez, San Juan, and Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands. 2022 SALISH SEA EARLY MUSIC FESTICAL FINALE
Our final 2022 Salish Sea Early Music Festival performance features two of the most profound 18th-century orchestral works, Bach's Fifth Brandenburg concerto and his Triple Concerto, both for harpsichord, flute and violin, in one exuberant program with seven period instrument specialists from Canada, Montana and Washington on May 28 at 6 pm in Eastsound. ISLAND PRIMARY CARE HOSTS 5K & HEALTH FAIR
Join Island Primary Care – Orcas for a 5k walk/run and health fair. Activities include 5k walk/run, blood pressure checks, chair massages, games and refreshments. Visit with other Orcas Island community partners at this free event. Woman in the Woods Productions is delighted to announce that its' fourth annual fundraiser will be held Sunday, June 5, in the Madrona Room at Orcas Center. FOREST DEMONSTRATION PROJECT TOUR WITH THE LANDBANK
Turtleback Mountain Preserve Friday, June 3 at 5:30 pm – 7 pm.
The San Juan County Conservation Land Bank, in partnership with the Islands Conservation Corps, Rain Shadow Consulting and the San Juan Preservation Trust, is offering a tour to highlight recent forest management work funded by a Washington Department of Natural Resources grant. Information here.
