Introduction to Trimble Business Center V5.XX

Trimble Business Center is a powerful software tool for all phases of construction. This course is intended for construction contractors, data managers, surveyors and engineers who would like to have an understanding of how Business Center is used in construction technology.
 
This is an introductory class and prerequisite for more advanced TBC classes. We will cover self-help tools, project settings, using templates, importing data, viewing tools and other basic concepts used throughout most TBC workflows. We will also introduce the TBC add on editions that unlock the full power of Trimble Business Center.
 
Attendees must have Trimble Business Center V5.xx loaded on PC before attending course and a wheeled mouse is encouraged.

 
SCS900 V3.XX Basics for Grade Checking and Staking

Location - SITECH Office
This course is intended for site supervisors, foremen, and grade checkers.
 
This course will teach students how to setup a GPS rover and basic functionality of SCS900 V3.XX field software. Data file structure and file management will be discussed for the TSC3, TSC7 and Trimble Tablet style data collectors. Components of site positioning will be discussed, as well as how to operate the components. Course taught in classroom and field. SITECH will supply any needed equipment for this training.
 
GCS900 / Accugrade 3D Operators Training
Thursday January 9 2020 8:00am - 12:00pm
Location - SITECH Office
This course is intended for machine operators that need to understand and use Trimble GCS900 and Cat Accugrade GPS machine control.
This course will teach components needed for GPS Machine Control, installing the components, basic screens and menus in the GPS display, and daily machine operation techniques. Course taught in classroom setting.
 
Data Prep with Trimble Business Center V5.0
Tuesday January 14 2019   8:00am - 12:00pm
Location - SITECH Office
Trimble Business Center is a powerful software tool for all phases of construction. This course is intended for construction contractors, data managers, surveyors and engineers who would like create 3D models with TBC.
 
We will cover:
  • Import multiple data types
  • Standardized layers
  • Elevate contours/lines
  • Create surfaces
  • Clean up drawing file
  • View/Check surface
  • Understand Data Prep menu
  • Export GCS/SCS900
All students will need Trimble Business Center loaded on their laptop and have the Site Modeling Edition for this class. If you do not have this edition, you will need to be enrolled in the 10 day trail which we can assist with. A wheeled is strongly recommended.

UTS Set-Up for Site Positioning, Machine Control, and Paving

This course will teach you how to get the most out of your SPS930 "UTS" and other SPS robotic total stations on the jobsite. We will cover how to field calibrate and set up your robot for field and machine operation. We will cover basic site layout and measurements. We will also show you how to hand off the UTS to get the machine up and going.
 
Trimble Siteworks Basics for Grade Checking and Staking

Trimble Business Center is a powerful software tool for all phases of construction. This course is intended for construction contractors, data managers, surveyors and engineers who would like to utilize Business Center for simple dirt takeoff
 
We will cover:
  • Create surfaces using site modeling tools Import PDF vector/raster
  • Basic heads-up digitizing
  • Topsoil stripping/replacement      
  • Creating subgrade adjustments
  • Reporting - cut/fill map/PDF/Excel
All students will need the Site Construction Edition for this class. If you do not have this edition, you will need to be enrolled in the 10 day trail which we can assist with.

 
Trimble Earthworks 3D Operators Training

This course is intended for machine operators that need to understand and use Trimble Earthworks machine control.
This course will teach components needed for GPS Machine Control, installing the components, basic screens and menus in the GPS display, and daily machine operation techniques. Course taught in classroom setting
 
New GPS Site Set-up and Calibration
Thursday January 23 2020 8:00am - 12:00pm
Location - SITECH Office
This course is intended for anyone charged with setting up new GPS jobsites.
 
We will cover what information you need to request ahead of time and how to handle and convert job files. We will also go over how to set up the base station, rover, perform a site calibration, and create data for GCS900, CAT Accugrade, and Trimble Earthworks. This will be both classroom and field training.
 
SCS900 v3.XX Advanced

This course is intended for site supervisors, foremen, and grade checkers.
 
This course will build upon the foundation provided in Basic SCS900 Grade Checking and Staking. Students will learn how to use SCS900 to perform topographic surveying, volume calculation, line stakeout, feature stakeout, and other advanced features of SCS900. Course taught in classroom and field setting
 
*FREE* Utilizing Drone Data with Propeller
Wednesday January 29 2020 9:00am - 11:00am
Location - SITECH Office
This course is intended to demonstrate the workflow for getting usable data from your drone with Propeller. We will show how to set up to fly an automated DJI P4 Pro using built in DJI apps. We will discuss the accuracy gained from utilizing either multiple Aeropoints or a PPK drone. We will show the ease of uploading data and getting your site on the proper coordinate system so that data can be utilized in other software such as Trimble Business Center. Finally we will show the power of the Propeller portal for understanding current site conditions, progress, etc.

 
Trimble Siteworks Advanced

This course is intended for site supervisors, foremen, and grade checkers.
This course will build upon the foundation provided in Basic Trimble Siteworks Grade Checking and Staking. Students will learn how to use Siteworks to perform topographic surveying, volume calculation, line stakeout, feature stakeout, and other advanced features of Siteworks. Course taught in classroom and field setting
